PLAY YOUR REHABILITATION home rehabilitation with the help of mixed reality

Imagine you’re just recovering from a bike accident in which you broke one of your arms. For your hand and arm rehabilitation, your doctor suggested that you do some physiotherapy. Everyday physiotherapy could be exhausting and boring for you, and maybe you also need help if you are doing it alone without any help.
Flowchart
One of our tools that we used to create this game was the Leap Motion Controller, an optical hand-tracking module that captures the movements of your hands with unparalleled accuracy. This device monitors the head of the hand on the ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’ axes, so people can do the exercises sideways, at different heights and depths. They are getting real-time visual feedback about it. The other tool is p5.js, which is a JavaScript library for creative coding. We created the levels with the aid of this library. We’re focusing on the appearance to make it more three-dimensional. The installation in use For piloting, we have ideas and contacts at the National Institute of Rehabilitation (physiotherapists and doctor friends), with whom we would like to validate the project by the beginning of next year.
